Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of police response in response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted Miss America's Pageant as well as the Miss Universe Pageant.
